I've been a musician since I started piano lessons at age 8. This is how I make my living. I've lived in Northern California for more than half my life and play music regularly all around the San Francisco Bay Area. I love jazz, classical and dance music. I write and produce, and own a recording studio.

This web site reflects my musical interests: jazz improvisation, classical music, all kinds of modern dance music, accompanying singers and choirs, directing musical theater and other shows, writing, recording music, mixing and teaching.

I have a deep interest in electronic music, in the rapidly growing relationship between technology and music. I guess I got this techno bug from my father, who designed circuits for some of the earliest computers at Univac in the 50's thru the 70's. Electronica opens the possibility of a new language of music that goes beyond the traditional rules and sounds of pitch oriented music. What would music based on timbre and rhythm sound like?
